We could use volunteers to help in the office with assembling bulletins, printing bulletins, filing, and data entry. Please call Linda Sheetz in the Church Office.

Backpack Buddies of Hilton Head

Christ Lutheran Church is one of three packing centers for Hilton Head Backpack Buddies. This ecumenical mission work provides almost 1,200 needy children on our Island with healthy meals over the weekends during the school year. Once a month we pack here at the Church and every Friday, we hand out to packs to the children at the school.

Helping is open to anyone, not just members. We’ve had preschoolers come help and 3rd graders from Hilton Head Christian Academy, as well. If you would like more information on how you, or your group can help, contact the office at 843.785.5560 or [email protected].

Unless otherwise noted, we start at 10:30 am in the fellowship hall.

St. James Soup Kitchen

CLC is called to support the Soup Kitchen EVERY THURSDAY of the month!

We are looking for volunteers to help get donations of food from CLC to St. James Baptist Church each Thursday. We also are looking for bakers to bake single-serve desserts (cookies, brownies, etc.) each week.

Whenever you bake at home, please consider baking a batch of cookies or brownies for the Soup Kitchen as well. You can bring your goodies to church on Sunday or drop your donation ANY time at the office! From now on we will deliver goods (cookies/brownies and fruits) every Thursday! Monetary donations for our soup kitchen fund are always welcome! For more information contact Silke.
